Sick Psych World
Conceived in 2017 by Thomas Callihan & Anthony Allman, Sick Psych World is a project meant to celebrate and explore music outside of the typical Anglo attention arcade. Concentrating on the vague approximation of global “psych” music as a starting point, they have created over 200 programs that feature combinations of Psychedelic Rock, Dub, Folk, Boogie and Musique Concrète for streaming. Sick Psych World also have an ongoing monthly show on The Lot Radio and perform live vinyl only sets frequently. Namaste, etc.
Mister Cam-Run is a vinyl DJ and co-host of Moods & Grooves on The Lot Radio, based in Brooklyn, New York. His sets encompass a wide range of groove-based genres, such as funk, soul, jazz, dub, reggae, hip-hop, boogie, disco and house.
Over the years, Mister Cam-Run has had the opportunity to support numerous talented artists, including Afrika Bambaataa, DJ Maseo (De La Soul), Pete Rock, John Morales, Sir Norman Jay, Oddisee, M-Phazes, House Shoes, Blu & Exile, Mayer Hawthorne, Cactus Channel, Geology, DJ Amir, DJ Suspect, and the Kashmere Stage Band.
As a working DJ, Mister Cam-Run has been invited to perform at various venues in New York and events worldwide including the Vancouver Biennale, The Ace Hotel, Virgin Hotels, Selina Melbourne, Melbourne Music Week, Bump n Hustle (Brooklyn), Groove Control (Washington DC), Shake! (Brooklyn), Cormega Album Launch (NYC), and Modern Class (Washington DC), among others.
Additionally, Mister Cam-Run has been actively involved in organizing diverse DJ nights in Brooklyn. Some of these events include Bed-Stuy Boogie, Mixup!, Good Times, Night Flight, 33/45, Needle to the Groove, the Arty After Party, and the Brooklyn Rooftop Sessions.
Mister Cam-Run’s magnetic energy and unyielding passion for music will transport you to a realm where the dance floor becomes a sacred space and the rhythm of the beats becomes the heartbeat of your soul.
