In the Weeds: A Guest Bartender Series with Paul McGee
- 6:00 pm - 11:59 pm | Sunday September 18, 2022
- The Lobby | Ace Hotel Brooklyn
There’s no one like your local bartender.
So we called up three of our favorites to make The Lobby bar their home for a series of Sunday evening unwinds. Grab a stool for delicious cocktails inspired by their storied careers, alongside our special menu of cheap drinks made stiff and house snacks made fresh.
Leyenda’s Leanne Farve brings unique, adventurous flair on Sept 11, liquid legend Paul McGee brings 30 years of tropical tastes on Sept 18 and we ring it in with paradise pro Shannon Mustipher and her pop-up, Women Who Tiki, on Sept 25.
Every Sunday in September, 8pm til late. Walk-in only.
With over 30 years experience in the hospitality industry, Paul McGee has come up through the ranks working behind bars in Houston, Las Vegas and Chicago. While in Chicago, he is credited with opening some of the best bars in the city (The Whistler, Three Dots and a Dash, Cherry Circle Room, Milk Room and Lost Lake). His bar, Lost Lake, has been recognized as the Best American Cocktail Bar at Tales of the Cocktail’s Spirited Awards and a James Beard Foundation finalist for Outstanding Bar Program. It has also earned a spot on the World’s 50 Best Bars list, as well as being named Time Out Chicago’s Bar of the Year, Chicago Magazine’s Best New Bar, one of Esquire’s Best Bars in America, and Imbibe magazine’s Cocktail Bar of the Year.
