Join Megan Louise — magnificent muse of Desire — and Rory Philips all-day poolside, as they spin their favorite italo disco and new wave classics from noon until magic hour.
Desire is an electronic trio formed on the snowy streets of Montreal and currently based in Palm Springs. On stage, vocalist Megan Louise pivots between French and English while draped in latex from head to toe. Joined by multi-instrumentalist Johnny Jewel (Chromatics, Glass Candy) and supermodel Soo Joo Park on dueling vintage synthesizers, their sound blurs the line between the dancefloor & the silver screen. As a flagship artist of the influential record label, Italians Do It Better, they have scored runways for Dior, Chanel, & Bottega Venetta as well as writing music for films by Nicolas Refn, David Lynch, & Ryan Gosling. Desire gained worldwide exposure with their hit song Under Your Spell, which was featured prominently in 2011’s neon-noir film, Drive.
British-born Rory Phillips‘ acclaim as a DJ and producer has led to invitations to work with acts including The xx, Scissor Sisters, The Gossip, Franz Ferdinand, and White Lies.
