Based in NYC by way of Sydney, Australia, Ankia has over 13+ years of Djaying under her belt. Her love for music is evident having immersed her entire career and life in the music scene, in addition to Djaying, Ankia spent half a decade as a radio host, hosting her own radio show (on one of Sydney’s top independent radio stations), as well as accruing 10+ years in the record industry working with the likes of Adele, M.I.A, Vampire Weekend, Radiohead, The xx.
As a full-time DJ, Ankia curates the soundtrack to many of NYC’s hottest clubs and has amassed a growing list of corporate and private clients impressed with not only her skills behind the decks, but also with her diverse taste in music and her unforgettable ability to transform a room.
Ankia’s list of clients include Soho House, AppleTV+, MAC Cosmetics, Nordstrom, H&M, TopShop, Bloomingdales, Saks Fifth Ave, Adidas and Footlocker to name just a few. She has spun alongside such acclaimed artists as Anderson. Paak, Just Blaze, Run The Jewels, opened for En Vogue, DJ Scratch, Stretch Armstrong, St. Vincent, Awkwafina, Deborah Cox plus many others, and has played for a former President of The United States & First Lady. She has appeared on such lauded radio shows as Sway in the Morning (2017, 2018, 2020, 2021, 2022) where, subsequently, her mix went on to be featured as one of the ‘Best Mixes of The Year’ and she has appeared on Australia’s national leading radio network Triple J and Vans’ Channel66.
A star party rocker, Ankia seamlessly mixes and blends an array of genres; from hip hop and classics to house, dancehall, R&B and today’s latest hits. Adept at reading a crowd and getting a party jumping, she has held residencies and is a regular at a multitude of establishments, from high-end boutique lounges such as Soho House, Mr Purple, The Blond, W Hotel to Downtown and Brooklyn hotspots. With patrons like Bad Bunny, J Balvin, Trey Songz and Sam Smith at her sets and shows, Ankia has no plans of letting up.. in fact she’s only just getting started!
