About: Born and raised in southern California, Tony has been exposed to an eclectic mix of music and culture at an early age. His passion to DJ started in 1989 mixing his favorite hip hop cassettes on two tape decks. Since then, he has evolved into an “open format” style DJ who loves to play for the crowd.
Swim Club Pool events are open to hotel guests and day pass guests only.

近年、日本だけでなく海外の音楽ファンから注目される「和モノレアグルーヴ」、「シティーポップ」と呼ばれるジャンル。ストリーミングサービスなどを通じてその魅力は世界中の聴衆を魅了しています。今宵はLAをベースに活躍する、日本のアーティストと欧米のリスナーをつなぐDJ Tsugu Itagakiを迎えシティ・ポップの持つエキゾチックな雰囲気と多国籍な音楽要素でグローバルなミュージックナイトを、レジデントDJ Norioと共にお届けします。 Tsugu Itagaki 熊本県出身。2000年、アメリカン・ソウル、ジャズ、ヒップホップをベースにDJ活動を開始。2007年、アメリカン・ソウル、ジャズ、ヒップホップへの情熱が高じてロサンゼルスに移住。 日本のシティ・ポップが再評価される過程を目の当たりにし、YouTubeなどのプラットフォームの普及によって、日本の名曲が世界中に広がる中で、欧米のリスナーに日本の音楽を届けることに尽力している。 また、ドジャース・スタジアム、コーチェラ、その他有名なフェスティバルに出演。LAでは、The Let’s Go DiscoやPart Time Loverといった有名スポットでDJを務めることも多い。ライブに加え、オンラインとポップアップのレコードショップ、We Share Recordsを通じて、日本の音楽を世界中のリスナーに広めている。 Hailing from Kumamoto, Japan, Tsugu Itagaki began his DJ career in 2000, drawing inspiration from American genres like Soul, Jazz, and Hip-Hop.
