エースホテル京都のロビーや客室内のアート制作に深く関わった柚木沙弥郎氏。この秋100歳を迎えなお現役で活動する、染色家でありアーティストです。70年以上に渡る創作活動は世代を超えて注目を集めています。今回の展示は館内レストランのタイルデザインとファブリックパネルデザインをしたAlexander Kori Girald氏との、二人のアーティストによる企画展。柚木氏の作品に対して、まるでアートを介して文通をするようにKori氏が作品を制作しました。一作品ごとのコラボレーションはホテルのデザインコンセプトでもある「イーストミーツウエスト」に通じるものがあります。

ロビーギャラリーでの企画展開催中に、二人のアーティストの作品をより身近に感じていただける宿泊プランをご用意致しました。宿泊プランでは客室アートをご覧いただけるほか、Kori氏のパネルデザインで飾られているミスターモーリスズイタリアンでのディナーが含まれます。宿泊プランをご利用のお客様にはエースホテル京都から柚木氏のオリジナルグッズをプレゼント致します。
