Sociedad Social Club ~ Holiday Parranda & more

  • 9:00 pm - 12:00 am | Saturday December 18, 2021
  • Lobby | Ace Hotel New York

Sociedad Social Club honors the tradition of social clubs found throughout New York City’s Latinx communities. Once serving as meeting places for those newly arrived, they grew into spaces where people went to connect with others while also reconnecting with their culture.

Each month will feature a selection of DJs and other artistic elements curated by Christian Mártir (Sociedad/A Party Called Rosie Perez). This month we have DJs Sunny Cheeba and JFUSE along with a live parranda to bring in the holiday season!

What is a parranda? It is a traditional Puerto Rican holiday celebration where a group of friends get together with instruments and go house to house singing songs and drinking coquito.
