SONO Hosts a rotating series of artists in residence that step on stage each month in a curated show deemed The Shape of Jazz to Come. This week SONO hosts Joel Dyson & Courtney Bryan who champion the works of Hughes, musically illustrating themes of the American dream, democracy and the everyday life of Black folk. This program will explore the vibrant fusions of classical, jazz and gospel through composers Bonds, Price, Gordon, and premieres of the improvisational ideas of Bryant and Dyson.
