Selector of the week: Las Chicas Tristes
About: Las Chicas Tristes (Brittney Carranza and Letica Gomez) are a multi-faceted, creative duo based in Long Beach and Los Angeles CA. These two met serendipitously through music and bonded over similar aspirations to unite and empower women in the music community. Being the change they wanted to see, they combined powers and curated events with a more female presence. As D.I.Y. as it could get, the duo did it all themselves from booking and promoting, to live sound engineering, and soon after, just DJing where their truest talent has grown till this day. When the duo first began their DJ journey together, the music they mused a natural high for were oldies and soul, but now their sound selections have evolved into more of an upbeat, “laugh now, cry later” vibe drawing from a vast variety of rare vinyl gems to party bumpin’ mp3’s of all types of genres.
Swim Club Pool events are open to hotel guests and day pass guests only.
