Material Market – part of the Sydney Design Week program for 2023.
A mini market plus meet-and-greet with some of Sydney’s sustainable designers. Nonna’s Grocer, a family run concept store, will help marketgoers create candles in recycled clam shells. Plastic waste entrepreneurs Defy Design will reveal their process for designing with recycled plastic. Visitors wishing to have their clothing revived can visit Layers of a Lune for embroidered upcycling; and browse racks of pre-loved clothing curated by the team behind Reunion (formerly SWOP). Goods from each of the designers will be available to buy.
