About The Ruby Fruit

Silver Lake’s newest wine bar, welcomes guests for nightly natural wine, food, and collective community gathering. The Queer- and Women-owned bar occupies former beloved neighborhood restaurant Eszett, and fills a void in LA’s Lesbian nightlife scene as the only sapphic wine bar in the city. Having dubbed the space as a place for the ‘sapphically-inclined’, The Ruby Fruit welcomes not just cis Lesbians but all members of the gender expansive Lesbian community including nonbinary, gender nonconforming, and trans people, specifically those who have yet to have a space to call their own. To date, there are fewer than two dozen bars in the U.S. that are designated Lesbian/Sapphic spaces.

The Ruby Fruit is distinctly inspired by its welcomed guests and employees alike, offering inventive, approachable, shared plates cooked over charcoal alongside natural wine, highlighting small production wineries. In addition to cultivating a contemporary food and beverage experience, The Ruby Fruit serves as an inclusive cultural hub, inclined to evoke conversation, empowerment, and collaborative connection amidst the joyful, immersive atmosphere.
