As part of Printed Matter’s off-site programming series, Ace Hotel Brooklyn welcomes Flee Project for a one-night musical experience, with special set by guest Paradise of Replica.

Operating as a DJ collective, record label, and event organizer, FLEE serves as a cultural engineering hub committed to capturing and enriching hybrid cultures. With a history of spotlighting both mainstream and alternative music worldwide, they are set to make their debut in New York City this spring. Currently delving into the diverse French musical heritage across North America, the Parisian crew will share their findings and musical journeys at ACE for an immersive night of sonic exploration.

Founded by Olivier Duport, Alan Marzo and Carl Åhnebrink, FLEE is an independent publishing house, record label and curatorial platform dedicated to the documentation and artistic reinterpretation of hybrid cultural phenomena. Defending a transdisciplinary practice, the platform explores and creatively highlights the contours of globalization from a historical and critical perspective. Oscillating between different subjects and disciplines, from music to architecture, the collective pursues an inclusive working method, privileging diverse and varied points of view.

From April 25-28, Printed Matter will return to 548 West to present the 2024 NY Art Book Fair. Printed Matter’s NY Art Book Fair (NYABF) is the leading international event for the distribution of artists’ books, celebrating contemporary artists’ publishing and the medium’s rich history. The Fair is located right around the corner from Printed Matter’s bookstore and will feature a broad range of artists and collectives, small presses, institutions, galleries, antiquarian booksellers, and distributors. NYABF will also present a full calendar of discussions, performances, book launches, and special projects that highlight interdisciplinary publishing practices.
