Money Mike
DJ Money Mike is a native New Yorker who’s primarily known for selling records at the city’s most celebrated shops when he isn’t doing guest spots around town. He gained his love for music at home from his mom who held a few house parties of her own! Although her style was centered around 70’s soul and 80’s boogie, Mike’s fascination was with the new emerging sound of hip hop. He started collecting his own records in ‘87 and in the late 90’s began trying his hand at rocking parties. He is a Mobile Mondays! resident DJ & these days you can find him spinning vinyl all over NYC.
Raw Q
Raw Q (aka Dj Beau) a lifelong native of St Marks Place in NYC’s East Village, formed his musical tastes by digging through his father’s vast record collection and listening to the NYC radio waves. Over the years his love of music continuously grew, which led to him to work in various record stores, and eventually procuring a set of Technics 1200’s and a mixer. In 1994 he put out his first Dj mixtape in the NYC shops. Its popularity in the underground led to the start of his pro dj career getting booked to spin raves, clubs, and bars, performing at some of NYC’s most legendary hotspots such as: The Roxy, The Limelight, The Tunnel, The Octagon, The Shelter, and others. His original music productions on multiple international labels and eclectic dj sets have enabled him to perform around the globe while holding down regular dj residencies in NYC for 25+ years. You can catch him spinning vinyl sets at his weekly Wednesday night at Big Bar in the East Village, and regularly at various hotspots around the city such as: Mad Tropical, Jupiter Disco, Nowadays, Soul in the Horn, Vinyl Nights and Honeycomb Hifi.
