The New Museum’s Holiday Pop-Up

The New Museum Store is hosting a special one day holiday pop-up at Ace Hotel New York on Saturday, December 16 from 12–5pm.

The pop-up is a celebrating of The New Museum’s Judy Chicago retrospective Herstory and will feature unique gifts produced, designed, and/or made by women. From handmade ceramics by Jess Chen, to 3D printed beanies and scarves by Gossamer Rozen, to a candle sculpture by Judy Chicago – there will be something for everyone!

The day will include a special onsite activation by Gossamer Rozen, a raffle for a one-year complimentary New Ideas Fellow ($400 value), complimentary admission tickets to the New Museum with a minimum purchase!

Gossamer Rozen is a transgender Filipino and Black fine artist and tattooer based in Brooklyn. Rozen has been making art to understand their identity, celebrate their heritage, and examine and connect with the world around them. A graduate from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, their body of work currently explores a variety of media, including tattooing, woodcarving, textile art, soft sculpture, digital media, animations, and clothing design. Rozen believes the slow process of hand sewing, hand carving, tattooing, and machine knitting is meticulous and repetitive, a type of meditation that is integral, if not more important than the finished work itself.
