Born in Corfu in the 80s, CheapEdits, aka Achilleas is known for his house and techno-oriented productions under the alias FOG. Having released many records on vinyl & digital form for almost 2 decades, and having had collaborations with many well-established artists, in 2018, he created his CheapEdits project in order to explore a more diverse approach to his productions, from ambient drone music to space disco and balearic downtempo. His first release, the same year, was signed by one of the most respected labels in that field, MUSIC FOR DREAMS, by Kenneth Bager. His “Porta Remunda” single contained a remix by Kenneth himself, and after that, the game was on. Several compilations followed, like the infamous VA’s Balearic Biscuits from Kenneth Bager or Best Off by Alfredo, and in the same year, he started his residency for MUSIC FOR DREAMS radio as well, which still holds to this day with more than 200 episodes. After that, over the next years, he produced his next singles for MFD like “LAST DAY / NUIT ELECTRIQUE / BLUE BAILANDO / COZMIKA & THE AGE OF LIBRA to name but a few, also gaining massive airplays on radio shows from BBC & LOT and his tracks hosted by many DJ Charts from well-known artists in that field. He also had 3 imprints from Thodoris Triantafilou GLORY HILL with more “space disco approach” and with a greater 4/4 floor weight. CheapEdits, as a DJ, loves to play either the perfect downtempo joints or the sweetest cosmic beats.
