Eat, Drink, Venues
We have four distinct dining and drinking venues that capture the carefree spirit of the Athens Riviera. Sebastian is our all-day French-American bistro on the ground floor. SORA is our Pan-Asian rooftop restaurant and lounge with breathtaking views. Good Chemistry is our ground-floor coffee shop serving excellent coffee and light bites. The Lobby Bar offers craft cocktails and small plates with live music and cultural programming. Poolside serves drinks and snacks right by the water.
Sebastian embodies the unbuttoned spirit of the Greek Riviera. This all-day bistro, helmed by Michelin-recognized Executive Chef Elvi Dimitris Zyba, serves seasonal French-American fare with Mediterranean influences. The menu draws from Greece, Italy, and France, with an emphasis on fresh, natural ingredients. Think fava dip, baby potato Salad Sebastian, sea bass with greens, avocado toast with Greek salad toppings, ricotta hotcakes with lemon curd, and portobello mushroom tonkatsu burgers. Sebastian features a stunning navy-tiled bar serving cocktails curated by the World’s 50 Best Bars-acknowledged Quixotic Projects team, including signature drinks like Aesthesi (gin, pine liqueur, and pink grapefruit soda). The wine program is curated by Athens’ renowned Wine is Fine.
SORA means “sky” in Japanese. Located on the rooftop of Ace Hotel Athens, SORA is our Pan-Asian restaurant and lounge offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Athens Riviera, sea, and mountains. SORA transforms into an elevated destination where modern Pan-Asian cuisine, sophisticated cocktails, and vibrant atmosphere come together. It’s designed to bring people together through the universal language of flavor, music, and energy. The rooftop features both dining and lounge areas, perfect for sunset cocktails, dinner under the stars, or weekend parties with DJ sets. Signature cocktails include the Kasumi—an umami blend of mezcal, gochujang, and grapefruit.
Good Chemistry is our airy ground-floor coffee shop that opens right onto the street, featuring ample seating and a moss-colored Ming marble counter. We serve excellent coffee from hometown hero Kudo Coffee, along with Daphnis and Chloe tea, pastries, light bites, and grab-and-go options. It’s the perfect spot for your morning caffeine fix or a casual afternoon break.
The Lobby is a sultry, moody space featuring a shimmering copper bar, low ambient lighting, and retro green table lamps with modernist leather stools. It offers craft cocktails, wines by the glass, local beers, and shareable small plates. The space extends to a terrace through bifold glass doors, creating seamless indoor-outdoor flow with classic Riviera charm. The Lobby hosts a robust calendar of live music, DJ sets, arts, and cultural programming, making it a gathering spot for locals and travelers alike.
Poolside is our casual dining and drinking venue right by the pool, serving refreshing drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), snacks, and light bites. Enjoy rum-laced milkshakes, glasses of Greek wine, and chips ‘n’ dips while soaking up the sun. Weekend DJ sets and performances happen Poolside, creating the perfect atmosphere for swimming, sunbathing, and socializing.

What Makes Us Different
We’re Ace Hotel’s first location in Greece and the second property in the Swim Club brand. Built on the site of the former Fenix Hotel, we’ve transformed this 1970s Brutalist structure into a vibrant homage to the golden era of Greek coastal leisure and Greek modernism. Created in collaboration with Parisian architecture firm Ciguë, the hotel celebrates multiple eras—ancient Greece through Dionysos marble details, mid-century design through seashell-hued facades and David Hockney-inspired aesthetics, and 1970s coastal resorts through retro furnishings and vintage vinyl. We’re a cultural hub where indoor and outdoor blur, art fills every corner, and the Athens Riviera’s playful spirit comes alive through two pools, multiple dining venues, DJ sets, and a community of locals and travelers.
The design is an overlapping expression of eras, landscapes, and local craft. Ciguë Architecture retained the geometric Brutalist bones of the 1970s Fenix Hotel while creating a space influenced by Greek modernism’s naturalist philosophy and the classic charm of coastal resorts. You’ll see nods to the Japanese Metabolist movement, ancient Greek elements (like the Dionysos marble front desk and harpy-shaped lamps by Panos Profitis), mid-century furnishings, and vibrant 1970s-inspired colors. The result is a seamless blur of indoor-outdoor space with a sprawling ground floor stretching from lobby to pool.
Yes! We’re deeply connected to Athens’ dynamic art scene. Our curated collection features works by prominent Greek and Athenian artists including Claire Manent’s street-art-inspired mural on the facade, Panos Profitis’ large-scale seabird mural by the pool, handwoven tapestries by The Callas brothers, geometric paintings by Eleni Psyllaki, prints by folk artist Alekos Fassianos, works by Aristeidis Lappas, and pieces by Despina Charitonidi. We also have a dedicated gallery space for rotating art exhibitions. The hotel captures the energy and creativity of Athens’ contemporary art world.
Yes! We regularly host DJ sets (especially on weekends by the pool and at SORA), live music in The Lobby, art exhibitions in our gallery space, Sunday yoga sessions in partnership with Hobnob studio (€15 for visitors, complimentary for guests), Sunday bottomless brunch with Balearic beats at Sebastian, and various cultural gatherings. The hotel has become a hub for Athens’ creative community and visitors seeking authentic cultural exchange. Check our events calendar or ask the front desk about what’s happening during your stay.
We embody the carefree, unbuttoned spirit of the Athens Riviera. Think: lounging by lemon-meringue parasols, DJ sets at sunset, turntables and vinyl in your room, guitars for impromptu performances, locals mixing with travelers in the lobby, Mediterranean sun streaming through brutalist architecture, and the blur between pool time and cocktail hour. It’s sophisticated but relaxed, design-forward but playful, cultural but not stuffy. We’re for digital nomads sipping freddo espressos, families enjoying the beach, creatives seeking inspiration, and anyone who wants to experience the enduring allure of coastal Greek living.
