About FIG

FIG is a grassroots collective of people working to transform the food system from within. FIG stewards, supports, and connects equitable and sustainable food work across New York /Lenapehoking, with collaborations beyond. The donation will go towards FIG’s Food Security Program (FSP), a space for the organization to operationalize our values and develop best practices and creative strategies for addressing and transforming the systemic barriers to equity, justice, and sustainability.  From March 2020 to date, FIG delivered fresh produce and prepared foods at the equivalent of more than 80,000 meals, to people across four boroughs, in collaboration with half a dozen community organizations, and more than two dozen food business and farm partners.
