本と本、人と本、人と人を繋げるイベント 「Book Swap (ブックスワップ:本と本の物々交換)」をスタンプタウンで開催。
2023年9月より始まったプロジェクト『Kyoto Book Swap』 (KBS)は、Book Swap (ブックスワップ) や Free Library (フリーライブラリ) を通じて、人と本、人と人を繋げることをミッションとしています。2月22日(土）スタンプタウンでは、初の「Book Swap (ブックスワップ:本と本の物々交換)」を開催。旅行者でも、地元の方でも、バックグラウンドや言語を問わない読者好きのコミュニティのために、著者やタイトル、殿堂入り、ニッチ、新刊など、情報交換ができる場所を提供します。交換したい本を持参して、ぜひお気軽にお立ち寄りください。

In a world where books hold the power to connect us, the Kyoto Book Swap (KBS) project has been creating bridges between people and stories since its launch in September 2023. Through Book Swaps and Free Libraries, KBS is on a mission to bring readers together—one book at a time.
On Saturday, February 22, Stumptown Coffee Roasters will host its first-ever Book Swap, inviting book lovers from all walks of life to exchange not just books, but ideas and inspiration. Whether you’re a curious traveler or a passionate local reader, this event is open to all, regardless of language or background.
Step into a space where pages turn into conversations, where you can share and discover beloved authors, classics, hidden gems, niche picks, and the latest must-reads.

Kyoto Book Swap
Kyoto Book Swap (KBS) is a project started by Mayuko Nakamura in September 2023.
It continues to grow with the support of friends and others in the community.
The KBS initiative aims to celebrate a love of books by bringing readers together and promoting neighborly book exchange.
In addition to book swap events, KBS plans to install several free libraries throughout Kyoto.
A free library is an unmanned public bookcase, typically outdoors, where people can donate and
swap books anytime and at no cost.
