Reflect To Project: Multimedia Installation

Reflect to Project is a collaborative installation by Brooklyn-based artists Cat McCabe and Olivia Restivo that examines how we evolve through the layered forces that shape us — familial patterns, political environments, inherited trends, personal transformation, and the constant cycle of rebirth.
Blending mixed media, photography, textiles, sound, and symbolic objects, the installation spans multiple senses: visual, tactile, auditory, and emotional. Each piece acts as a portal into a different facet of evolution — from the stories we inherit to the identities we shed, the beliefs we question, and the versions of self we choose to rebuild.
Together, McCabe and Restivo explore how reflection becomes a tool for projection, inviting viewers to slow down, witness their own transformation, and see themselves within a shared story of rupture, resilience, and renewal.
