Printmaker and Ace Artist-IN-Residence, Daniel David Freeman, Shares collage tricks to take home.Ace Hotel Kyotoにて9/6(金)からイギリス ロンドン在住のアーティスト Daniel David Freeman(DDF)の展示 ”Character Building”がスタートします。それに伴い、9/7(土)には展示にインスパイアされたコラージュ作品を制作するワークショップをDDF指導のもと、開催します。

このワークショップでは既存のアート作品やコミック、イラスト、テキスト、さらにはDDFが制作したイメージを素材として使用し、参加者が自分だけのキャラクターを制作します。アーティスト DDFが何から影響を受けているのか、また普段どのように作品を制作しているのかを垣間見れる、貴重な体験となることでしょう。皆様、奮ってご参加ください。

The exhibition “Character Building” by London-based artist Daniel David Freeman (DDF) will open at Ace Hotel Kyoto on Friday, September 6th, as a part of the Artist in Residence program.

To complement the exhibition, a workshop will be held on Saturday, September 7th, led by DDF himself, where participants will create collage works inspired by his exhibition.

During the workshop, attendees will use elements from artworks, comics, illustrations, texts, and images created by DDF as materials. This provides a unique opportunity to explore the influences behind DDF’s creative process and gain insight into how he crafts his works. We hope you’ll join us for this special experience.
