“無常Ⅱ” — Photography Exhibition & Reception

SIP&SOUND returns to celebrate the release of photographer Haruki Yamada’s new photobook, Mujō II, at the 1F Corridor and Stumptown Coffee at ACE HOTEL KYOTO.

Taking place along the 1F Corridor and at Stumptown Coffee at ACE HOTEL KYOTO, the afternoon brings together photography, coffee, DJs, and sound through an exhibition and gallery reception for Mujō II.

Joining us behind the decks are NICKELMAN, NiSSiE, SHUN145, and DROAM.

From 6:00pm to 7:00pm, NICKELMAN will perform a special beat live set of “Kyōkei,” a soundtrack created specifically for Mujō II.

“Kyōkei” brings together skate photography, street snapshots, scenes from the changing seasons, and field recordings captured by Haruki himself. NICKELMAN selected and edited these sounds to create a soundtrack that reflects the world of Mujō II.

Come experience the world of Mujō II through both photography and sound.

The exhibition will be on view from December 12 through December 21.

After the reception, the night continues at PIOPIKO on the 2nd floor with an after party from 7:00pm to 11:00pm.

写真家・山田陽暉の写真集『無常 II』のリリースを記念し、「SIP&SOUND」をエースホテル京都 1F コリドーおよびスタンプタウン・コーヒー・ロースターズにて開催いたします。

『無常 II』の展示とギャラリーレセプションを中心に、DJとコーヒー、音楽と写真が交差する午後のひとときをお楽しみください。

当日は、NICKELMAN、NiSSiE、SHUN145、DROAMがDJとして出演。

イベント終盤の6:00pmから7:00pmには、NICKELMANが『無常 II』のために制作したサウンドトラック「響景」のビートライブを開催します。

「響景」は、『無常 II』に収録されたスケート写真やストリートスナップ、春夏秋冬の風景、そして陽暉自身が録音した街のフィールドレコーディングをもとに、NICKELMANが選曲・編集した『無常 II』のためのサウンドトラック。

写真集と音楽、それぞれの視点から広がる『無常 II』の世界を、ぜひ会場で体験してください。

展示は12月12日（土）から12月21日（月）まで開催。

そしてレセプションの後は、2F PIOPIKOにて7:00pmから11:00pmまでアフターパーティーを開催します。

About Artist

Haruki Yamada 山田陽暉

Born in Kyoto, Kyoto Prefecture in 1998.

Shooting photos while actively participating in skateboarding and carrying Mikoshi (portable shrines) at local festivals in Kyoto.

His skateboard photography has been published in a photo book as well as in magazines such as BOARDKILL, HIDDEN, and PANCAKE.

Camera kid, wandering soul.

1998年、京都府京都市生まれ。

スケートボード、京都市の神輿を中心に担ぎながら撮りながら。

スケートボードの写真は写真集にしたり雑誌『BOARDKILL』『HIDDEN』『PANCAKE』に掲載されている。

カメラ小僧、僕は風来坊。

“Kaleidoscope Music”

A music producer who merges sound and visual art to paint a unique world of sensory experiences. He also creates artwork under the name “55555.”

Through numerous collaborations with diverse artists and international releases, he has expanded his live performance footprint in recent years—touring not only across Japan, but also internationally with shows in Los Angeles, Taiwan, and Shanghai.

Alongside labelmate FROGMAN, he operates as one half of the beatmaking duo “FREEMANZ PRODUCTION.” He is also the founder and head of the Osaka-based music label “deepconstruction records.”

「カレイドスコープ・ミュージック」

音楽とアートを融合させ、独自の感覚世界を描くプロデューサー。 アートワーク名義「55555」としても活動。

様々なアーティストとのコラボレーションや海外リリースを重ね、近年は国内ツアーに加え、 LA、台湾、上海など海外でのライブツアーも展開。

レーベルメイトであるFROGMANと共にビートメイキングユニット「FREEMANZ PRODUCTION」としても 活動するほか、大阪を拠点とするレーベル「deepconstruction records」を主宰。
