Join modern intimacy brand maude and Dakota Johnson’s TeaTime Pictures for Cinemaude Los Angeles: a curated film series presented by The Theatre at Ace Hotel Downtown Los Angeles.
In partnership with Dakota Johnson and Ro Donnelly’s TeaTime Pictures and intimacy brand maude, The Theatre at Ace Hotel Downtown Los Angeles brings you a month-long film series, with a screening every Thursday in August. The series hinges on firsts: first loves, new beginnings, flings that carry from day to night. From coming-of-age classics about young romance to stories that depict how relationships change and grow through life, it’s set to be a summer of love at the Theatre.
This week’s film is Tangerine, 2015, directed by Sean Baker and written by Baker and Chris Bergoch. Tangerine follows a transgender sex worker who discovers her boyfriend and pimp has been cheating on her. Comedian and actress, Arisce Wanzer will moderate a discussion with cast members Ana Foxx and Josh Sussman prior to the screening.
Tickets include admittance to the films, talks and Q&As accompanying the screenings, a custom event poster and a complementary spritz by Ghia. Net profits from ticket sales will go to SIECUS, an organization that advances sex education through advocacy, policy and coalition building.
Stop by the maude pop-up shop inside the lobby of Ace Hotel DTLA to shop thoughtfully curated intimacy products, for self and partner care.
