- Lovage | Ace Hotel New Orleans
- 610 Carondelet St

Southern organizer Emma Robinson is interested in creating “insurgents”. Using media of all forms to shift our relationship to culture and the systems we interact with on a daily basis, her work is for Third World Women, girls on the porch, and the women she was raised by. From the big boogeyman of capitalism to increased access to reproductive care there is no subject too taboo if we create a new world to be in. Through Teach-Ins, Library Installations, and Read In’s Emma is living into Toni Cade Bambara’s mandate that as a “culture worker who belongs to an oppressed people my job is to make revolution irresistible”.” Catch her and guest Otura Mun of Ife as they chat in our literature series “What Are You Reading?”.
