You can also get it all sent straight to you by ordering room service using the QR code on the menu in your room.

Ace Hotel & Swim Club
701 E Palm Canyon Dr
Palm Springs, CA 92264
Hi. Welcome to Ace Hotel & Swim Club.
We’re glad that you’re staying with us, and we want to make sure you have everything to keep you happy while you’re hanging your hat here. We’ll keep this short so you have more time to experience the Swim Club, your room, good food, events and the desert. You’re standing on the foundation of a 1965 Howard Johnson reimagined by local design collective Commune. Much of what you see today is an outgrowth of the original five-building structure, from the old Denny’s restaurant — now King’s Highway — and the Amigo Room to two rare, deep pools swimmable all year round.
You’re within biking distance of downtown Palm Springs and the Indian Canyons are about a 20-minute ride. Or take your borrowed bike and go vintage shopping. You’re also really close to Joshua Tree, the Salton Sea, Salvation Mountain and all kinds of historic desert modern architecture. This also happens to be the best place in Palm Springs to get a laid-back massage and natural spa treatment solo or to share with friends (or more than friends).
We’re on the Internet, too. To stay abreast of our collaborations, artist interviews and random things we like, follow us at ACEHOTEL.COM./BLOG. For breadcrumb trails to events, videos, pictures and gems culled from Internet k-holes, you can find us at @acehotel on Instagram. And if you’re already feeling tired and want us to just send all this stuff directly to you from time to time, you can join the A-List. It’s an online leaflet to keep you up-to-date on all our latest projects, ideas, gatherings, recipes and dreams. Sign up at ACEHOTEL.COM/A-LIST. Our shop is online at SHOP.ACEHOTEL.COM and at the Front Desk, plus some goodies in the spa — you’ll find the same blankets & robes as in your room & some other stuff we like, too. Say hi at @acehotelshop.
We’re glad you’re here.

We’ve got bikes. They’re free, first come, first served. Come ride them.
— COMMUNAL FIREPLACES —
They’re for everyone, so feel free to hang out. The beautiful ceramic detail is by the artist Stan Bitters. He also did the barrel vault fireplaces on the private patios. We dig Stan.
— DOG PARK —
Out back, we’ve got a little patch of land for your dog. There’s water and pooper scoopers. But please keep them on a leash everywhere else. And clean up after them.
— ICE —
Grab your ice bucket and head out into the wide world — ice machines are located next door to room 221, and between rooms 417 and 419. You can also go to the Amigo Room and have us fill your bucket for you. If you’re feeling shy, we’ll be more than happy to bring ice to you — just give us a call.

— KING’S HIGHWAY —
King’s Highway is the roadside diner at Ace Hotel & Swim Club. Formerly a Denny’s, King’s Highway celebrates the ineffable, bohemian spirit of the wide open West. We’re also the home of Fabulous Bingo on Monday nights, and the King’s Highway coffee bar serves beans from our friends at Stumptown all day. We understand that food is first and foremost a series of relationships not only in the eating but in the preparing and the sourcing. We believe that cooking should always be inspired but never pretentious and that food should be accessible but not ordinary. King’s Highway offers room service, too — you have a menu right here in your room — just order through the QR code.

Enjoy.

You can buy some things down in the Lobby or right out of your room, like Moroccan robes, screenprints, walking sticks and vintage vinyl just by taking them with you — we’ll charge it after you check out. We’ve also got a shop selling good stuff near the Front Desk and one online where you can find many of our exclusive products and collaborations, and just some stuff we think is cool. You can also stop by the Feel Good Spa to pick up cleansers, moisturizers, masks, lotions and scrubs. And if you miss any of the other Aces, you can find souvenirs you forgot to buy when you were there. Dreaming of Ace Brooklyn or New Orleans? We have events nearly every night of the week: DJs, karaoke, trivia, parties and live bands, the list goes on. Find out what’s going on while you’re here by visiting ACEHOTEL.COM/PALM-SPRINGS/GOINGS-ON or by calling the Front Desk.
If you want to have your own event here, we don’t blame you. Here’s some more info about our spaces. If (and when) you fall in love with one of them, get in touch. Say hi at events.ps@acehotel.spambreak.com or 760.325.9900.
— COMMUNE —
The Commune is a 3000 sq ft event space available for meetings, receptions, dinners, weddings and pretty much anything else you can think of. The walls open up to a circular pool, an intimate amphitheater and views of the mountains. We often sponsor events that are open to guests like live musical performances and community get-togethers. When the Commune is not booked, it is open for use by all guests, kind of like an indoor/outdoor living room, only really, really big.
— STARGAZING DECK —
The Stargazing Deck is really nice for small receptions, especially in the evening. It overlooks the pool and mountains so you can get inspired or spy on people. It’s a good place for small receptions or morning yoga.
— THE CLUBHOUSE —
The Clubhouse is our double-decker events space — a flexible place perfectly suited for business meetings, private receptions, weddings, social gatherings, dinners or whatever else you need an expansive room for. Totaling over 2500 sq ft between its two floors, The Clubhouse’s first level features its own patio space, while the larger second floor comes complete with a partially covered balcony.
— WEDDINGS —
We love love. With several light-filled event spaces, we’re well-equipped for just about every style of nuptials. We can go big with special room blocks for your family and friends in our many suites, or just keep things simple — whatever suits your day.
Here’s more about our other hotels. They are all pet- and kid-friendly, serve good food and coffee. We’re one big family, and each Ace Hotel is unique, a product of its neighborhood, building, friends and history.
— ACE HOTEL BROOKLYN —
Ace Hotel Brooklyn belongs to Boerum Hill, on the cusp of Downtown Brooklyn — a block from the Hoyt-Schermerhorn Station, at the ever-evolving intersection of everything. The latest chapter in Ace’s long romance with New York, we built Ace Hotel Brooklyn from the ground up: every piece in service of the borough’s tireless ingenuity, made to move and breathe with the city itself.

— ACE HOTEL KYOTO —
Ace Hotel Kyoto was created in partnership with legendary architect Kengo Kuma and longtime collaborators Commune Design. It’s a place of honest dialogue with the city’s past and future legends, and Ace Hotel’s first outpost in Asia. We’re a stone’s throw from contemporary cultural treasures like the Nishiki Market, the Museum of Kyoto and Kyoto Art Center, and just steps away from Kamesuehiro, the iconic 200-year old confectionery. Part of the Shinpuhkan development, we’re in the middle of a vibrant marketplace filled with shops and cafes.

— ACE HOTEL NEW ORLEANS —
Ace Hotel New Orleans lives on the corner of Carondelet and Lafayette in one of the best cities on Earth. Housed in a nine-story building built for Barnett’s Furniture Store in 1928, Ace New Orleans’ rooms and public spaces are driven by a sense of design and wonder. We have a shimmering pool and bar on the roof, world-class dining and drink at Josephine Estelle, oysters and cocktails at Seaworthy, and intimate music venue Three Keys. We’re near art galleries and shopping museums and cocktails. It’s a quick jaunt to the French Quarter classics and just a bike ride to the lively Bywater and Marigny neighborhoods, with mystical nooks and corners you can explore on your own.

— ACE HOTEL NEW YORK —
Ace Hotel New York is in a historic landmark building that originally opened in 1904 as the Hotel Breslin, located in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, close to the Theatre and Flatiron Districts, and Madison Square Park. We tried to preserve as many original features and details as possible — like the lobby’s ornate coffered ceilings and mosaic tile floors — in hopes of celebrating its history, and we worked with Roman and Williams to bring new personality to the space, with vintage and custom furniture, and things we’re not even sure how we pulled off, like the entire library we lifted from a Park Avenue apartment to make our lobby bar, and the light fixtures made with glass from the Hubble telescope.

— ACE HOTEL PORTLAND —
Ace Hotel Portland is in the former Clyde Hotel, a 100-year-old building in downtown Portland, Oregon. It’s a little modern, a little DIY, and very much in thrall to the history and heritage of Portland, with a penchant for creating something new. The feeling is library meets apartment meets speakeasy, and each room features work by local and international artists (some of whom also have pieces at Ace New York). You can borrow a bike or an umbrella from us for adventures around the city.

— ACE HOTEL SEATTLE —
Our first hotel ever, Ace Hotel Seattle is near and dear to our hearts. Built in a historic boarding house in Belltown, we’re at the heart of Seattle’s art and music scene, near the waterfront and Pike Place Market (where they throw the fish). Minimalist iterations of Northwestern themes fill the lobby and guest rooms, and the common spaces include a study and breakfast nook with a do-it-yourself waffle iron (waffle dough included). Small but mighty, Ace Seattle is famous among dozens, and well-loved among its friends.
2423 First Avenue, Seattle WA

— ACE HOTEL SYDNEY —
Ace Sydney is settled within the reanimated, century-old Heritage Federation Warehouse building — situated above the site of convict potter Jonathan Leak’s brick kiln. We are nestled against the edge of the CBD in Surry Hills, a neighborhood with a rich ‘n’ rough legacy of cultural reinvention, from the landmark Gay Solidarity Group protests of the 1970s to the razor gang wars of the 1920s and ’30s. In between our rooftop restaurant, Kiln, and our lobby-level café, Good Chemistry, you’ll find everything you need right here, but we’re also within walking distance to Hyde Park and the CBD, Darlinghurst and Redfern, and just a moment away from Central Station.

— ACE HOTEL TORONTO —
Ace Hotel Toronto was built bottom to top in the heart of Toronto’s vital Garment District, offering a future-facing homage to the neighborhood’s industrial warehouse roots. Created in partnership with award-winning Torontonian firm Shim-Sutcliffe Architects, Ace’s first Canadian home embraces the utopian promise of Toronto as a microcosm of the world, in all its layered tension and texture — a crossroads of global culture imbued with a history of progressive, transgressive art and ideas.
