Every Saturday and Sunday, we’re slowing time down poolside — with Balearic beats, ethnic sounds, organic house, and downtempo grooves setting the tone for an effortless afternoon on the Athenian coast.
This Saturday’s sounds are provided by Mr. Z
Zois Chalkiopoulos aka Mr. Z lives in Athens, where he was named by the Athens Voice (official) as best DJ for 2012. He is one of the favourite selectors in the best bars in town, an active member of Needless mobile party and founder of the vinyl bazaar series, ΜΠΙΤ ΜΠΑΖΑΑΡ. In addition, he shares his musical wisdom through the blog Naked Sides and his famous monthly column and podcasts on Avopolis and Stegi Radio. He has released 2 personal albums and an EP in vinyl, cassette, and digital form.
Pull up a sunbed, soak up the Mediterranean sun, and make the weekend last a little longer as the music carries you.
