SLOW SERIES: Feminist Bird Club Birding at Brooklyn Bridge Park

  • 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm | Monday June 15, 2026
  • The Lobby | Ace Hotel Brooklyn
  • Free

Join Feminist Bird Club NYC and Ace Hotel Brooklyn for a Pride outing to celebrate queer ecology! No birding experience necessary, free and open to all.

We’ll look and listen for local birds at Brooklyn Bridge Park, while making connections to other urban wildlife.

We will meet and start at Pier 1 near the entryway and pavillion (near Breads Bakery). Look for the FBC leads with binoculars in hand!

Please bring binoculars if you have them, as well as water and snacks for yourself. We’ll have a few spare binoculars to share.

Accessibility Notes: Road and sidewalks are paved, though some may be uneven due to city infrastructure. Park terrain varies from grassy, to paved, to rocky, and can be somewhat uneven in areas.

We will be moving at a slow but varied pace. The park has some benches for seating if needed.

Restrooms are marked on this map with orange restroom icons: https://brooklynbridgepark.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/2025-Brooklyn_Bridge_Park-Map.pdf

We will end the outing by walking from the park to the Ace Hotel Brooklyn for light snacks and beverages, compliments of the hotel. There will also be restrooms at the hotel.

The Feminist Bird Club was founded in NYC by Molly Adams in 2016 as a way to leverage both their passion for birds and their passion for social justice into a cohesive whole. Since then, the Feminist Bird Club has expanded to chapters across so-called North America and Europe.
