Piquettes? Pet Nats? Beer-wines? Wines seasoned with fruits and botanicals? Category defying spirits? Native ingredients? The kaleidoscopic array of drinks peppering the Australian liquid landscape is fascinating, brilliant and firmly wedded to an increasingly progressive drinking culture.
Natural wine, artisan production of spirits, breadth in the brewing scene and an increasingly interesting non-alcoholic offerings, are all touchstones in Australia that speak of growing diversity and exploration of drinks producers. And the people behind it all are pretty colourful too.
Join P&V Merchants co-founder, drinks journalist and the Ace Hotel Sydney wine selector, Mike Bennie, for a unique night tasting and talking all things the future of drinking.
Tickets include six-ish drinks plus some light snacks.
